This course is for people interested in how Cognitive Behavioural psychology and techniques (CBT) theory and practice may be usefully applied to their work environment. Course participants so far have come from professions such as Medicine, Health Care and Social Care; Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) ; Legal, Police and Mediation; Business , Human Resources ; Personal Trainers / Coaches , who would find it useful to know more about CBT and how the principles may be applied in the work place to manage effective planning; development of staff; individual and group stressors; conflict resolution; successful and equitable meeting of targets and goals.
The course will cover basic principles and application of CBT theory and techniques. There will be a mix of theory and practical skill building based on case study material and group exercies.
The two days will be delivered via lecture presentations; individual and small group exercises and skills building; seminar and discusion.
